Individual and Corporate Giving

Think of unrestricted gifts as the key in the lock: they open doors. Better yet, think of unrestricted gifts as the bridge over the river: they get us from where we are today to where we need to be tomorrow. Unrestricted gifts go directly toward solving the Cancer Resource Center's most pressing needs. They create opportunities. They keep our energy for helping—raising awareness and outreach alike—humming. And they improve the quality of life for so many affected by cancer.

The Annual Appeal is now underway, and we need your generous support to help us raise as much money as possible to support individuals with cancer, their families, and the people who care for them. When you receive a letter from us asking for support for our programs, please respond! We send 3,000 letters out to individuals, families, and businesses
each year.

Make a general contribution to support the work of the Cancer Resource Center. You can also make a fast, secure memorial contribution to celebrate the memory of someone who has died from cancer. Express special appreciation year round by making a gift in honor of the special occasions in your loved
ones’ lives—holidays, anniversaries, graduation, birthdays, and more .Network for Good provides a secure method for making your donation. You will receive a tax receipt from Network for Good to keep for your tax purposes and an acknowledgment of your gift from the Cancer Resource Center.

Donate by phone or by mail

Cancer Resouce Center information and support is available all day every day to respond to people touched by cancer. We answer calls from individuals and their family members and friends as well as others who have questions about cancer-related issues. We can also take your donation over the phone!

Planned Giving

With your long-term planning, a gift can combine your wish to support the Cancer Resource Center with your overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals. Your planned gift gives you a special connection with us. You will help those affected by cancer—now and later.

Gifts of Securities

Other than cash, securities (e.g. stock shares, mutual fund shares, bonds) are the most popular asset for funding charitable gifts to the Cancer Resource Center. Publicly traded securities are usually very marketable, have a clear value, and are easily transferred. Tax laws heavily favor gifts of assets that have
increased in value. If your securities holdings have appreciated in value, you may have an opportunity to avoid capital gain tax that would be applied to the appreciation when the securities are sold. As with most charitable gifts, you may also earn an income tax charitable deduction forthe full market value of the securities.
